Baby Powder for Thick Lashes

A friend recommended that I use baby powder on my lashes to help thicken them up. It seems like it would be a great idea because powders typically hold liquid and oils very well. I have searched the web and found mix reviews on this so I though I would give it a try and test it our.
After testing this for two days my lashes have never looked so good! I couldn't find any small Baby powder containers so I went to the dollar store to pick up one. Since I wear contacts my eyes are very sensitive so I was very careful by putting the baby powder on the tips of my fingers and rubbing my eyelashes with my two fingers very carefully. After I put the baby powder on I applied my mascara with the Zig Zag motion and they looked so long and evenly spaced! This is a must!

Oil Hair- Dry Shampoo

So my sister discovered this home made dry shampoo mix that you apply to your hair when it starts to become oily the second day you typically don't' shampoo your hair. Its' so easy to make and actually really worked for me. I just dappled about a quarter size in my hand and then rubbed it onto my roots all over and it looked great and the dryness stayed for hours! Just google to search home made dry shampoo!

Bright Color Polish!

Okay let's face it we are back into the bright 80's colors! Love it or not these colors are a hit on your toes and fingernails! Just check out some recent Hollywood pics! I recommend that hot color polish is in right now and definitely a must! Just check out Cassi's new look and hot pink nails!

Max Factor Color Genius Foundation with Minerals

Okay so we all need a great foundation right, well with this economy I can't spend what I use to on high end products. Max Factor has been around for a long time and there products have changed with all the nee hype about minerals. I have been using every day after I moisturize and apply and blemish cover up and base a small amount if this foundation and it spreads so smooth and thin that I barley feel like I have anything on my face! I got this on sale at Target for around $6 so it is compatibly very inexpensive and works great. I have had no break outs with this product either however I would always recommend with any face make up to try out a small part on your skim first before applying all over. Max factor products are a must!

Mascara- Maybelline Colossal

So long thick lashes are in right now and I have been trying Maybelline Colossal Mascara. I have found this mascara to work great! It's not to thick and sticky and it blends nicely on my lashes. I take my wand and brush the tip on the top of the base to get off any excess mascara. I then start at the base of my lashes closest to my eye lid and brush out in a zig zag motion to get the most volume. This brand is fairly priced and on sale even sometimes at Wal-Mart and Target. This Mascara is a must!

Nail Base

Okay so as the economy has crashed I have not been going to the nail salon. So I have been starting to do my nails at home. I tried Sally Hanson's Instant Grip Nail Base. It is suppose to make your color brighter and last longer.

I used it on my left hand and then tried just nail color on my right hand to see the difference.

Here is my right hand you really can't tell much of a difference I must say.
Over all I must say a few days later my nails started to chip. The chipping was much worse on my right hand where I used no base but the my nails on the left with the base chipped as well. Not sure this was worth the money. It cost around $4 US dollars with tax. I think next time I will just try a top coat.

Proactive Refining Mask

Out of all the Proactive Products I really like the Refining Mask the best! I think it is a good product. I am not sure of what is can compare to an in store product. It is very simple you just first rinse your face then take about a dime size amount and put it all over your face or concentrate just on the blemishes. You can leave it on for about 5 minutes no longer then 10 or else it will dry out your skin too much. You just rinse gently and pat dry. I have seen blemishes go down in a matter of two days with this product.
